We have added all of our developer application forms and guidance notes for you to download.
We provide a free developer enquiry service where we will provide guidance on your proposed connection to the local network. We may need to undertake further more detailed investigations and if this is necessary we will detail the options for progression and associated costs in our response.
You can apply for the adoption of pre constructed sewers under section 104 of the Water Industry Act 1991.
An adoption of sewers application form should be completed detailing the sewers that are being put forward for adoption. A S104 agreement is then completed between the various land owners (developer) and the statutory undertaker. Once the sewers have been constructed in accordance with the agreement they will be vested as public sewers.
Under section 106 of the Water Industry Act 1991, you can apply for a connection to a public sewer.
A sewerage connection application form should be completed, providing all the required details. Written approval or rejection should be provided within 21 days of receipt of a complete application form.
An application is required for each connection being made.
Should you have a need for an existing sewer to be diverted you can apply under section 185 of the Water Industry Act 1991.
Depending on the size and importance of the asset we may allow for the diversion to be constructed as a self lay or use our powers to complete the works our self and recover all reasonable costs incurred.
Besides the various technical and legislative documents, often statutory undertakers have their own specific requirements and guidance documentation. We have produced an addendum to Sewers For Adoption 7th edition.
